Scalable Reconfigurable Optical Add/Drop Multiplexer (S-ROADM)
With OpVista's S-ROADM architecture the network is liberated to respond to services requirements, there are no limited fixed filters or constraining bands in remote node locations. OpVista's Broadcast and Select Architecture makes all wavelengths available to all sites, at all times. At each node, a tunable receiver is remotely and instantaneously tuned to the desired wavelength. As little as a single Gigabit Ethernet pair can be dropped at multiple nodes (ideal for video distribution). All optical power levels are automatically adjusted, without disrupting existing services.
